  • 425gsm "hybrid tech" weave jacket (single piece construction)
  • Rubberized canvas collar
  • Triple-stitched seams
  • 10 oz. cotton twill pants
  • Reinforced knee padding
  • Rope drawstring
  • White belt included free

If you prefer a clean cut and modest Gi, take a look the 2015 Nova. In terms of value and bang for your buck, it doesn't get much better than this!

One of Tatami's most popular models has gotten a slight facelight, including updated woven shoulder patches and new pants. The new shoulder graphics use a simple rendition of Tatami's newest logos and, along with the color-matched stitching, maintain the Nova's long-standing clean cut and modest appearance.

The 2015 model is constructed from the same reliable 425 GSM High Tech jacket and new 10 oz. twill cotton pants, with added drawstring loops and a round stretch drawstring. The new Nova is equipped with a strong rubberized collar, triple-stitched stress points, and double-layer knee reinforcement. The rubberized collar dries faster than traditional foam-filled collars, thereby preventing the buildup of bacteria and moisture. This rubberized style of collar also helps keep the jacket's original shape.

White Belt included free.

A3 will be rather baggy, but A2 would be way too short. Honestly you are better off with a Gi that comes in size A2L, such as the 93brand Hooks 2.0 (same price, more size options).

Youre right on the border, so it depends on whether you like a tailored fit or a loose fit... you can either go for an A2 and always cold wash / hang dry, OR go for the A3 and wash warm / heat dry :)

Hi I'm 6'6 and 200lbs. I was thinking about getting an A4. Could someone with experience let me know if that is an ideal gi size for me. Thanks!

Hi olu. A4 could work although you have a little concern about shrinking in the wash. You might bump up to A5 in order to plan for that.

I think the best bet would be the A3. The A3 should be properly form fitting for you. An A4 with wash shrinking could work too though.

I think he size A1 is your ideal fit, however a size A2 would allow you to hot wash and spin dry (with shrinking).

I'm 5'5" and 200 lbs. Not fat - but very big shoulders, chest and back.

What size should I get?

Currently, I have an A4 Gameness but it's way too long. However, the fit is just about right.

The A4 would definitely be comfortable, although like you mentioned it would be a bit long. If you have someone who can hem the pant legs and sleeves you'll be in good shape. Otherwise you might need to try the A3.

Ideally you are an A3, although you might have shrinking issues. You could either rely on cold wash and hang dry, or go for the A4 and try to shrink strategically.
