The Bamboo Panda is one of a kind. Not just because it's a bamboo Gi, but because it's an affordable bamboo Gi. Others before it have had price points starting in the upper atmosphere. But Inverted Gear is keeping it down to Earth.
"Bamboo Panda" is built from a 70/30 bamboo/cotton blend that feels incredibly comfortable.
Inverted Gear's fans voted on Facebook to come up with colorways and they seem to have great taste; the shades of light green look outstanding against the deep navy blue material. Updated Panda logos sit on the jacket by the lapel, rear skirt, and mid-arm. Equipped with a strong collar that has a fast-drying core that won't bunch up or warp over time.
We're happy to say that the classic Panda waist closure is in full effect. In addition to the main drawstring loops, Inverted Gear utilizes a longer guiding channel so your drawstring doesn't ride up toward your hips (extremely helpful when you're defending a mean berimbolo).

I am 5'7" at 160lbs so I got the A1. This gi is very soft and has a nice tailored fit on me. There was some stitching out of place on a small section of the bottom seam on the gi top, but my wife was able to remedy it without trouble. This gi has seen pretty heavy use lately with rolling 4x per week and has held up fine. I wash on cold/cold and hang dry and have experienced negligible shrinking in the top and none in the pants (that's what she said).
Still haven't received my order and have been dealing with customer service to get my money back. Terrible experience and I would never purchase anything from here again.
Best gi I own. The only close second is the Flow Hemp, but I feel this is lighter, softer, and fits my body type much better. Also the choice to go with the rip-stop pants was like an answer to my prayers; Inverted Gear has the best gi pants I've ever worn and they stuck to their formula with this one, but that's just my personal preference. Also color is awesome. A different navy blue than most other gi's out there. It keeps its deep shade of blue after a ton of washes and doesn't get all purple-ish like others that I've seen. I am the envy of my academy haha, everybody wants this gi! Very highly recommended.
Best of the Pandas I've tried, including the Gold Weave and Light Pearl. Fit is neat, not a lot of extra material for gripping, but doesn't constrict movement for active players. At 6'1 and 245, the A4 is a pretty spot-on fit for me. Even though the jacket is 350gsm, it feels more substantial than my other lightweight jackets, like the Tatami Subzero, not thin at all. Pants are really top-notch, very comfortable for ripstop, and the drawstring loops are super-solid. There's been basically zero shrinkage through multiple washings and light machine drying. Obviously the navy color isn't IBJJF legal, but the overall look is pretty sharp. All the small details were perfect on my gi out of the bag, no issues. This one's a good buy.
Actually I emailed firstname.lastname@example.org and they told me that this gi is allowed in all IBJJF tournaments as long as you are not competing at black belt
Does this gi look more purple than blue? Just sent back a Kingz Bamboo because it was definitely more purple than blue.
